Organizations working together across the Lake Superior Basin.

What It Means to Be a Member

Membership in the Collaborative is free and informal — there's no application, no dues, and no minimum commitment. What members share is a stake in the health of Wisconsin's Lake Superior Basin and a willingness to coordinate with others doing similar work.

What members do

Member organizations participate in workgroups to help achieve our shared vision. They attend the annual Symposium to share project updates and learn from peers across the Basin. Many members also contribute project ideas through the Pitch Party process, or give feedback and support to early-stage project ideas from others. Beyond their own projects, members help champion the Collaborative's work, expand our network, and share ideas across organizations. They bring their own expertise, ideas, and priorities to the table and share project progress and lessons learned with the broader network.

Why it's worth joining

Conservation work in the Basin rarely happens in isolation. Being part of the Collaborative means staying connected to what other organizations are working on, finding partners for projects, and having a voice in shaping regional conservation priorities. Membership is at-will and flexible — organizations contribute in whatever way fits their capacity and mission, whether that's staff time, expertise, equipment, or funding.
